Archetype SC’s Daniel O’Sullivan (User Experience Designer) and Patrick Nord (Director of Big Data) delivered the keynote address at IBM’s Big Data event hosted in Denver, CO last Thursday.
Datapalooza is a global IBM conference that attracts world industry leaders to learn from subject matter experts on big data practices.
O’Sullivan and Nord presented and modeled a process they developed from right here in Myrtle Beach that assists data scientists, analysts, and developers deliver business value from the data they work with. IBM is a leader in the data and analytics space, with tools from SPSS to Watson Analytics and solutions deployed around the world.
“Although our methodology leverages the IBM toolset based on our own experience and expertise with the IBM sphere, we have used it, and heard from others who have used it, with a wide variety of tools,” Nord explains.
Archetype SC has grown from a team of 10 to 50 employees in the past 12 months. They attribute this growth to their success in delivering quality solutions, which has led to more projects and referrals from satisfied clients. In the past year they have moved from 1,500 square feet to 5,000 square feet in Myrtle Beach at the Burroughs and Chapin Founders Center.
