Another fantastic WIT lunch!

The Women in Tech lunch experienced overflow attendance once again! Here is a summary of what happened in case you missed it!

1. Overview of STEM efforts: The focus of WIT is to advance local STEM education, so reports from this school year were shared!

2. Introduction of everyone there: It is a little known fact that WIT is open to everyone (not just women) who have a passion for advancing opportunities for girls interested in STEM!

3. An AAST student spoke about the value of the Technology Student Association, and announced that 28 students from HCSD will be attending nationals this year!

4. Marianne DiCrasto - A former IBM programmer with a 30-year career of working in tech, shared her story with us.

5. Networking: From 15-69 years old, to all kinds of backgrounds and careers, this diverse group of leaders boasts the value of the networking that takes place at WIT.
