Technical Services Manager - Mercom

The Technical Services Manager is responsible for management and planning of project resources to deliver maximum return on investment for the business. The Technical Services Manager will be the primary point of contact and the "Face of Mercom" to our customers and project partners. The successful candidate will fully understand billable employee productivity, resource skills deployment and growth, project workforce planning/forecasting, resource sharing and organization profitability requirements working in close partnership with Mercom's leadership, sales and capture teams. Successful performance will contribute to increasing profitability, productivity, create delighted customers and deliver on time and on budget projects. 
Responsibilities include:
Optimizing on-site project performance to achieve Mercom's revenue and profit objectives.
Balancing the demand for resources with the supply taking into consideration skills, level of experience, geographic location, developmental objectives of the resources, and financial impact.
Frequent client, employee and subcontractor partner interaction to successfully manage the Mercom team and ensure customer performance expectations are being achieved. 
Researching and recommending actions to augment the resource pool as needed.
Reviewing potential candidates and recommending as company employees or third party contractors to meet specific program or project objectives.
Regularly working with Mercom's leadership, sales and capture teams to recommend and resource people to projects originating from the sales organization, or as a result of changes originated from existing engagements.
Recommending and managing subcontractor relationships needed to execute projects effectively and profitably.
Driving process, modeling and systems design for resource and capacity planning for all projects.
Analyzing trends in actual and forecasted chargeability in order to monitor and influence key performance metrics regarding resource utilization.
Analyzing future demand for resources based on staffing needs of existing projects, probable pipeline opportunities, and future needs to support future opportunities.
Recommending staffing approach for delivery of existing projects as well as new business opportunities.
